Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Is your team ready to move beyond one-size-fits-all teaching? Are you looking to shift from reactive differentiation to intentional design that meets the needs of all learners from the start?

In this 2-hour interactive professional development, educators will dive into the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Framework to explore how they can proactively plan lessons that remove barriers, increase access, and boost student engagement. This session goes beyond theory—we’ll unpack real examples, apply the framework to case studies, and give your team concrete strategies they can implement immediately.

Professional Development Outcomes:

  • Understand the UDL Framework and its three core principles: engagement, representation, and action/expression, plus how they support diverse learners.

Identify at least one high-leverage strategy within each UDL domain that teachers can apply in their own classrooms right away.

Practice implementing UDL in context, analyzing real-life case studies and exploring how multiple strategies can be embedded within a single lesson.

Shift from reactive support to proactive design, empowering teachers to build classrooms where all students can access rigorous content and thrive.

In today’s classrooms, variability is the norm. UDL gives educators the tools to plan for learner differences before they become roadblocks. Whether you’re working with students with IEPs, multilingual learners, or simply navigating a wide range of academic levels—UDL is a framework that works for everyone.
